Lives we aim to touch with Hope

I founded the Ruby Red Foundation in honor of my siblings, Ruben JR Garcia and Ruby Garcia, and in response to the realities too many families face quietly — the intersection of mental health, fentanyl, and loss.

Experiencing loss within my own family reshaped my purpose and deepened my commitment to awareness, prevention, and compassion. Ruby Red was created not from judgment or blame, but from love — and from the belief that education, honesty, and community support can change outcomes and save lives.

As a sister, a mother, and a community advocate, my focus is on creating safe spaces for conversation, reducing stigma around mental health, and providing accessible education around fentanyl risks. Through outreach, awareness, and partnership, Ruby Red Foundation exists to honor lives, support families, and turn pain into purpose.

Ruby Garcia

(Affectionately Known as Ruby Red)

Ruby was vibrant, fearless, and unapologetically herself. Known as “Ruby Red” for her signature red hair, she lived boldly and loved deeply. She carried a fierce spirit, a wild edge, and a heart of gold — never caring what anyone thought and always staying true to who she was.

Above all, Ruby was a devoted mother. Her greatest joy and purpose was her daughter, Leanna, whom she loved fiercely and protected endlessly. Everything Ruby did, every dream she chased, was rooted in love for her child and the people she held closest.

Though her life was cut far too short, Ruby’s impact remains powerful. Her story is one of passion, resilience, and the importance of compassion and awareness for those navigating life’s hardest moments.

Ruby Garcia’s legacy lives on through the Ruby Red Foundation, where her name, her spirit, and her love continue to drive our mission of awareness, healing, and hope for families and communities affected by loss.

Forever loved. Forever Ruby Red.

Ruben JR Garcia

Jr was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him. A devoted brother, son, and uncle, he carried a quiet strength and a big heart — the kind of person who showed love through loyalty, presence, and protection. He cared deeply for his family and carried himself with humility, kindness, and authenticity.

His passing left an unimaginable void, but his life continues to inspire purpose. Jr’s story is one of love, resilience, and the importance of compassion and awareness. He is remembered not only for who he was, but for the reminder he leaves behind — that every life matters, every story deserves to be heard, and every loss should move us toward change.

Ruben Jr’s legacy lives on through the Ruby Red Foundation, where his memory fuels our mission to bring awareness, education, and hope to families and communities affected by loss.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
